In a psychiatric emergency:
Call 305-434-9000 Option #1
This number will direct you to the crisis stabilization unit.

For other emergencies, call 911.

YOU DO NOT NEED A REFERRAL TO CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT

Individuals are encouraged to call on their own when seeking help for themselves or a family member with an emotional crisis, a life problem or substance use issues.

GCC staff are trained to listen to your concerns and provide you with the information you need to make decisions regarding your services and which services are the most appropriate. The staff will gather basic information including health insurance coverage and schedule you an appointment to meet the service provider. If you do not have insurance and you need discounted services, you should inform the admitting staff person so that arrangements can be made with you to provide the necessary documentation.
